What is CryoMaestro?
Section titled “What is CryoMaestro?”CryoMaestro is a private operating environment connecting cryo-EM sample logistics, scheduling, instrument workflows, live quality feedback, processing, analysis, and facility operations.
Is it open source?
Section titled “Is it open source?”No. CryoMaestro is licensed proprietary software. Public website source, documentation, metadata, or third-party notices do not grant access to or rights in the product implementation.
Where does it run?
Section titled “Where does it run?”Deployments are designed for institution-controlled infrastructure and are sized during onboarding. The exact architecture and operating procedures are provided in the controlled facility deployment package.
Does data leave the facility?
Section titled “Does data leave the facility?”That depends on the configured integrations, extensions, backups, monitoring, and remote-access policy. Administrators must document and verify actual data flows for each deployment.
Can it control a microscope automatically?
Section titled “Can it control a microscope automatically?”Supported deployments can coordinate approved instrument workflows, but CryoMaestro is not a certified safety system. Trained operators remain responsible for instrument state, interlocks, limits, supervision, and the independent stop path.
Can we add our own method?
Section titled “Can we add our own method?”Approved partners and facility methods teams can propose extensions through a typed, reviewed contract. Development materials are provided through the applicable agreement; public source-level internals are not published.
Are third-party scientific tools included?
Section titled “Are third-party scientific tools included?”Availability and licensing vary by deployment. Public plugin binaries are currently withdrawn. Obtain restricted software from its official publisher and review Third-Party Notices.
How do we get support?
Section titled “How do we get support?”Customers use the contacts and procedures supplied with their deployment. A general public support address will be published after the operating entity and private reporting process are finalized. Contact sets out which route applies to customers, evaluators, security reporters, and extension partners.
