Service operations
Implementation-specific service commands belong in the controlled runbook delivered with your facility installation. The public operating model is:
Routine checks
Section titled “Routine checks”- Confirm the application, instrument integrations, storage, compute workers, and notification paths are healthy.
- Review capacity, failed jobs, warnings, access events, and backup status.
- Verify that time synchronization, certificates, identity integration, and monitoring are current.
Change management
Section titled “Change management”- Test updates in a representative non-production environment.
- Record the application version, configuration revision, integration versions, and validation result.
- Schedule a maintenance window with an explicit rollback decision and responsible operator.
- Repeat bounded instrument checks after changes that affect acquisition, calibration, or device communication.
Incident response
Section titled “Incident response”If behavior is unexpected, stop new work, preserve logs and run state, protect the instrument and data, and follow the facility incident procedure. Do not improvise low-level service recovery on a live session.
